Everton fans react to Marco Silva claim ahead of Leicester clash

According to Sky Sports News, Marco Silva will still be Everton manager by the time Sunday’s Premier League clash with Leicester City rolls around.

There has been a host of speculation surrounding the Portuguese since Everton suffered a shock 2-0 home defeat to Norwich City on Saturday afternoon.

However, The Mirror have claimed that a lack of a suitable replacement means that the Toffees are currently reluctant to pull the trigger.

Sky Sports News have now reported that there will be no change before the Merseyside giants take on an in-form Leicester this weekend.

Four wins, two draws and seven defeats is how the Toffees have performed in the Premier League this season, which has left them in 16th spot in the table.

As expected, a number of the Everton fans have been on social media offering their views on the latest developments, a selection of which can be seen below:

Meanwhile, a number of Everton fans have suggested a potential replacement for Silva, and it would be some story if this man returned to Goodison Park.

Man Utd would be making foolish mistake by snubbing Sancho

Borussia Dortmund starlet Jadon Sancho has been on Manchester United’s radar for what feels like eternity.

The England international has been linked with a big-money move to Old Trafford for a number of months now, amid suggestions that he could finally be set for a return to English football after a few years in Germany.

The likes of Chelsea and Liverpool are also reported to be monitoring the situation, but recent reports have claimed that United are the ones in pole position.

However, a fresh update from The Daily Express has claimed that the current situation surrounding the world at the moment makes it “far-fetched” that United could spend £120m on Sancho.

As such, it’s suggested the Manchester side could could active their buy-back clauses on Memphis Depay or Wilfried Zaha.

Whilst the reasons behind such a stance is understandable, this could turn into a monumental mistake from Ed Woodward. Make no mistake about it, if United have second thoughts about signing Sancho, then the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool will no doubt be prepared to blow them out of the water and beat them to the punch.

If Sancho really is the priority signing for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this summer, then there really shouldn’t be any settling for second-best, whatever the circumstances.

Getting the Dortmund starlet in would mean United have a winger for the next decade or so in their first-team – both Depay and Zaha on the other hand would come with a question mark due to them initially failing to make the grade at Old Trafford.

Sancho’s arrival would be a statement of intent that Solskjaer’s team are battling for the biggest and best signings in world football. Going for cheaper alternatives would completely undermine that and set United back years. Re-signing a flop would make them a laughing stock, and another sign that they are not amongst the elite.

Meanwhile, Man Utd would make a statement of intent with move for this Serie A ace.

Arsenal fans slam potential Icardi/Aubameyang swap deal

As Mikel Arteta heads into his first summer in charge at Arsenal, one of the big dilemma he has on his hands is the future of talisman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Gabonese striker will be entering the final year of his current contract at the Emirates, with Raul Sanllehi previously insisting that the club would need to make tough decisions to ensure players don’t simply run down their contracts like Aaron Ramsey and Alexis Sanchez.

Spot the fact from the fib: Are these Premier League records true or false?

World Class score: 95% | Expert score: 80% | Veteran score: 65% | Intermediate score: 45% | Amateur score: 30% | Try Again: 5%

Now, Italian publication Tuttosport (via Sport Witness) claim that with finances set to be restricted all across the board, swap deals may be the way to go. The report claims that Inter forward Mauro Icardi could be offered in exchange for Aubameyang, and that it’s “seen as a way for both clubs to find a solution for their players”.

After hearing about the potential Icardi/Aubameyang swap, Arsenal fans took to Twitter to voice their thoughts on the Argentine’s potential arrival.

Some Gunners fans raised question about Icardi’s wife and agent, Wanda, with one supporter in particular claiming that she is “nothing but trouble”.

Such has been Aubameyang’s incredible performances for the Gunners, that most strikers in word football probably wouldn’t be seen as an upgrade or even an equal match for him.

As per Transfermarkt, in just 97 games across all competitions, he has 61 goals and provided a further 13 assists. There can be no question that without the centre-forward’s goals, the north London side would be even far off the pace than they are now.

It’s no surprise that some Arsenal fans aren’t entirely too on board with Icardi being the man to potentially replace him this summer.

Carlos Vela was one of Wenger’s biggest failures

So often you hear stories of the players Arsene Wenger could have brought to Arsenal.

Yaya Toure is one of them – a midfielder who played on trial for the Gunners before eventually failing to earn a contract in north London, primarily because of passport issues. There are others, too. Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the most famous.

However, a further missed opportunity came in the form of Zlatan Ibrahivomic – someone who rejected a trial with the Gunners.

Whatever you think about the Swede who proclaims this is his earth we’re all living on, it was a player now closely linked to the striker that became one of Wenger’s biggest failures.

The Frenchman is one of the greatest managers of our time but he has made mistakes, certainly with Carlos Vela’s development, or lack of during his time in England.

In 2019, the tricky Mexican forward lit up North America by ousting Zlatan not only to the MLS top scorer award, but also to the accolade of being the league’s Most Valuable Player.

For Los Angeles FC, Vela scored 36 goals in only 33 appearances. Now aged, 31, he is one of a fair few that got away from the Gunners.

Take Serge Gnabry for example. The German walked out the exit door all too easily after being given infrequent opportunities by Wenger. Since then, he has now become a powerhouse for Bayern Munich. He single handily demolished Tottenham in the Champions League this season by scoring four goals in their 7-2 romp.

Like Vela, he was cast aside to West Bromwich Albion for a season loan – neither were able to truly profit or benefit from spells away from Islington – neither did they prosper under the stewardship of one of the best coaches to live and breathe.

Supporters at the Emirates Stadium still talk of the Mexican’s ability to dink the ball over the ‘keeper with supreme confidence – it was a trademark.

Once he was left one on one with the man between the posts, it was never a simple finish for the Cancun born striker. He’d sit the goalkeeper down and delicately lift it over them in tormenting fashion as though he were the great Lionel Messi.

Left-footed, he was a player who earned comparisons to another unfortunate Arsenal forward, but for a man who made Wenger smile, it was baffling that he never got a fair chance in N5.

The boss once declared: “He’s an Eduardo basically. He is left-footed with intelligent moves and a good finisher.”

Though, in total, Vela played just 64 times for Arsenal after arriving in 2005. Only 19 appearances of those were starts – he scored 11 goals. Now starring in the MLS, a league flourishing with players both at the start and ends of their career, he’s finally living up to his billing. It is no longer a retirement league – Miguel Almiron moving to Newcastle is fine evidence of that.

Maybe, just maybe, had Vela been given a chance at the Emirates, he would have succeeded at the elite level. However, he was a player emerging out of the shadow of Thierry Henry, Robin van Persie and co. – he had to deliver there and then, not when he was 31.

He is the definition of a late bloomer, arguably because he paid the price under Wenger at a young age. The talent was there, but not until the later stages was he able to deliver it on a consistent basis – perhaps it’s because he’s finally earning regular football.

The Frenchman certainly could have treated him better – something Vela’s inability to start football matches in England attests too.

On multiple occasions, the legendary manager would show his stubbornness. He had a loyalty to certain players and refused to change his ways. That was all too clear in the latter years of his Arsenal reign.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but the 72 cap forward is now better than he’s ever been. He’s tearing defences to shreds on a regular basis with ruthless finishing and stunning artistry, he couldn’t be more of a Wenger player if he tried.

Tottenham Hotspur: Pundit believes Spurs target Willian will make a U-turn

Noel Whelan thinks Tottenham target Willian may sign a new deal at Chelsea instead, in an exclusive with Football Insider.

Speaking to football correspondent Dylan Childs, the former Leeds forward believes there could be a twist in the tale as he feels negotiations are inevitable between Willian’s representatives and the Blues.

The Brazil international’s contract is set to expire in June and he has been linked with a summer switch to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as Jose Mourinho looks to balance a squad overhaul with a tight budget.

Earlier this month, Premier League clubs unanimously voted to allow for contracts to be extended until the end of the season, in light of the ongoing pandemic.

It had been previously reported that Mourinho is keen to bring the 31-year-old to North London but Whelan suggests not everything may be as it seems.

Whelan commented “look, a renewal is never ever out of the question.

“You can see U-turns, even at this late stage in a player’s contract when he can go on a free. There is still lots of talking to be done between Frank and Willian.

“At the end of the day, Willian would be a fantastic signing for anybody.

“He has got loads left in the tank. A standout again for Chelsea this season. Fantastic performances this season and he does not seem to have lost any of the pace or skill that he came to Chelsea with.”

He added “on a free contract, he is an absolute snip! I would love him at Leeds but he is settled in London so that is where he will want to be.”

Indeed, the 31-year-old recently dismissed reports he has held talks with his old boss, saying “I haven’t had any contact with Mourinho recently,” although he admitted they have a close relationship.

Ever since he arrived at Stamford Bridge from Anzhi Makhachkala for £31.95m in 2013, the Brazilian has been one of Chelsea’s star performers over the years, winning the Premier League twice, the Europa League, the FA Cup and League Cup so far.

He hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down, as he has the second-highest WhoScored rating out of the entire Blues squad. The speedster has scored 5 goals and created 5 assists in the English top flight this season, taking 1.9 shots per game, averaging 1.8 key passes, and making 1.9 dribbles on average (via WhoScored).

Willian is intent on staying in London and the Premier League rather than uprooting his family and moving to a new country.

However, given his age, this may be a deal Daniel Levy should avoid, as it is unlikely he would be a part of Mourinho’s plans in the long-term future.

Obviously, the Chelsea winger would certainly be a good signing to make, as his credentials speak for themselves, but Spurs fans shouldn’t be too disheartened if the club miss out on him in the summer.

Tottenham fans, should Daniel Levy sign Willian in the upcoming transfer window? Let us know down below!

Newcastle United: Fans rage at Mike Ashley as club yet to confirm plans to refund ticket money

Plenty of Newcastle United fans are raging at Mike Ashley after news emerged from the NUFC Supporters Trust (NUST) on their Twitter page that following further discussions with the Tyneside club, they are yet to confirm any plans to refund ticket money.

As per NUST, supporters are entitled to a refund for their ticket money if they want to, following an announcement that the remaining games of the 2019/2020 season will be played behind closed doors.

Indeed, this has caused some members of the Toon faithful to voice their rage on the platform, with plenty directing their anger towards Ashley.

The CEO of Sports Direct still remains the owner in the North East despite the prospective takeover of the Saudi-led consortium looming large over him and his football team.

However, being the current owner in this moment in time, it seems as if some NUFC supporters have been blaming Ashley for their lack of refunded ticket money. This should come as little surprise, given the strained relationship between the owner and the supporters.

These Magpies gave their thoughts on the 55-year old on Twitter after reading the news:

I think mr Ashley would fail this currently, he’s had destroyed the institution which is #nufc hopefully the new owners can restore it to its previous glory’s

In Pictures: The 15 key moments of Liverpool’s incredible Premier League triumph

Liverpool have done it!

Over 30 years since their last league triumph, Jurgen Klopp has led the Reds to arguably one of the greatest Premier League title victories in history.

Having suffered so many close-shaves over the years, some Liverpool fans could be forgiven for thinking their year would never come, but it has and they would never have imagined it would be done in such emphatic style.

Klopp has built a squad that hasn’t just dominated the world, but also England. Having only dropped seven points so far this season and still with seven games of the campaign still to play, the Reds’ heavy metal style of football has captivated every single football fan in the country and their coronation is richly deserved.

But with a three-month break initially threatening their title dreams and having to return in June behind closed doors, there have been so many massive moments in Liverpool’s season that many may have forgotten.

So we’ve taken a look back and listed 15 of the biggest moments in Liverpool’s sensational 19/20 Premier League winning season to refresh your memory. And the season isn’t even over yet…

Perfect Start

Liverpool hosted Norwich at Anfield on the opening Friday night of the campaign, and they started their incredible journey in style.

Grant Hanley’s 7th-minute own-goal set the tone for the night before Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Divock Origi registered to give the Reds a 4-0 lead at the break.

Norwich’s Teemu Pukki pulled one back for the visitors but Liverpool were able to start the new Premier League season in real style.

All over in a minute

Having brushed aside the likes of Arsenal, Newcastle, Southampton and Burnley after their opening weekend victory, Liverpool’s 100% record in the league came under real threat at Stamford Bridge in September.

Trent Alexander-Arnold gave the Reds the lead inside 15 minutes but then VAR stepped in to steal the headlines.

Chelsea’s Cesar Azpilicueta thought he’d scored the equaliser just before the half-hour mark before it was ruled out for an offside in the build-up. Literally a minute later, Roberto Firmino headed Liverpool into a 2-0 lead to crush the hosts’ hopes of taking something.

N’Golo Kante’s second-half goal did restore some faith in Frank Lampard’s side but Liverpool were able to hold on to keep their perfect start to the season intact.

Leaving it late

By the beginning of October, Liverpool had won every league game but Leicester City came within seconds of becoming the first side not to lose to Jurgen Klopp’s men.

James Maddison’s 80th-minute equaliser ruled out Sadio Mane’s first-half opener and it looked like Liverpool would drop their first points of the campaign, but what happened next sparked something we would become accustomed to throughout the remainder of the year – a late Liverpool winner.

James Milner stepped up to slot home a 95th-minute penalty for the Reds to send Anfield into absolute raptures.

Late Lallana

Real champions know how to grind out a result, and this game was perhaps the first in which we really started to take Klopp’s men seriously. They had won every game up to this point, but previous Liverpool sides will have struggled to find the fight so late when 1-0 down at Old Trafford.

But in the 85th minute, substitute Adam Lallana saved Liverpool’s skin with a dramatic equaliser to ensure the Reds’ unbeaten start to the campaign remained.

Cheers, Son’s crying

Harry Kane had given Spurs a first-minute lead and for large parts of the game, it looked like Liverpool were going to drop more points.

And they would’ve done, had Heung-min Son not missed a sitter after rounding Adrian in the Liverpool goal. It was a miss that spurred the Reds on and a second-half fight-back was complete when Jordan Henderson and Salah netted to hand Klopp’s side a massive 2-1 victory.

Scenes at Villa Park

Liverpool had found themselves trailing once again, this time to a 21st-minute Trezeguet opener for the hosts.

With the clock ticking and with Villa Park fully expecting to be the first ground on which Liverpool would lose in 19/20, the Reds clicked into action and turned the game in the space of a few very late minutes.

If Andrew Robertson’s 87th-minute equaliser wasn’t enough to spark wild limbs in the Villa Park away end, then Sadio Mane’s 94th-minute winner ensured the traveling Liverpool fans really did have reason to go absolutely mental as the Reds took the points in a 2-1 victory.

Now you’re gonna believe us!

The visit of reigning Champions Manchester City in November was the fixture everyone had looked at being the real indicator of Liverpool’s title chances. Their start to the season was almost perfect, but could they dispatch of Pep Guardiola’s City to really lay down a marker?

Fabinho smashed in the opener inside 10 minutes and by the time 15 minutes had been played, Liverpool were cruising after Salah had doubled their lead.

Sadio Mane made it 3-0 shortly after the break to all but end the contest, before Bernardo Silva’s 78th-minute consolation.

Now the City of Liverpool, and indeed most neutrals, were beginning to believe.

Merseyside Massacre

Before this game, Liverpool were forced to grind out difficult victories over the likes of Tottenham, Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Brighton and while we’ve already established that real Champions know how to win when the chips are down, many were beginning to suggest it would be only a matter of time before the Reds ran out of steam.

No chance.

Merseyside Derbies are normally close-fought contests but with Everton struggling under Marco Silva, Liverpool were able to embarrass their neighbours in spectacular fashion at Anfield.

Sadio Mane was the star of the show with a goal and two assists as Klopp’s men romped to an emphatic 5-2 victory in what would prove to be Silva’s last game as Toffees manager, and to ensure Liverpool were still unbeaten by early December.

Boxing Day knockout

Comfortable victories over Watford and Bournemouth followed that thrashing of Everton but by the time Liverpool rocked up at the King Power Stadium on Boxing Day, the Reds had been on a trip to the other side of the world to win the Club World Cup and many believed this game would be the one where they would really show their tiredness.

So in classic Liverpool fashion, they proved everyone wrong by thrashing the Foxes 4-0, with Trent Alexander-Arnold making the headlines with one of the performances of the season.

Completed it, mate!

By mid-January, Liverpool had beaten everyone they’d played. Apart from Man United, who came so close to beating the Reds earlier in the season.

Narrow victories away at Tottenham and at home to Wolves had ensured Liverpool’s lead at the top of the league was getting bigger and by the time United had come to Anfield, dreams of a first-ever Premier League title were very much becoming a reality.

Virgil van Dijk opened the scoring in the 14th minute but it wasn’t completely straight forward for Klopp’s men, who were given a huge free pass when Anthony Martial fired over when through on goal and failing to bring the scores level.

And then Mo Salah completed the victory in the 93rd minute to ensure Liverpool had completed the set by beating all other 19 Premier League clubs in a single season.

Now the question was: Can Liverpool become invincibles?

Mane saves the day

Basement club Norwich were expected to take a beating when Liverpool arrived at Carrow Road in February but they weren’t prepared to follow the narrative.

The Canaries stood strong and frustrated Klopp’s men throughout a tense affair before Sadio Mane scored a superb winner in the 78th minute.

Dropped points at this stage would’ve unlikely led to a title collapse for Liverpool, but it was once again their doggedness and fight to take all three points that shone through and ensured they had still only dropped just two points all season.

Anfield almost Hammered

Relegation strugglers West Ham rocked up at Anfield only hoping to come away without having embarrassed themselves but instead, they would’ve come away with all three points had it not been for some uncharacteristic errors by goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski.

David Moyes’ Hammers reacted to an early Georginio Wiljnaldum goal by equalising through Issa Diop just three minutes later and then substitute Pablo Fornals gave West Ham a shock lead less than 10 minutes after the restart.

But two Fabianski howlers let Liverpool back in, with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane netting in the final 20 minutes to hand the Reds a 3-2 victory.

Yet again, Liverpool had got themselves out of a sticky situation and the Invincibles season was still on.

Cherry on the top

Just before football was halted due to Covid-19, Liverpool were enduring their most difficult period of the season so far. Having lost their unbeaten league record in a shock 3-0 defeat away at Watford and then being eliminated from the FA Cup, some were wondering if the Reds were embarking on a collapse like no other, despite them still leading the standings by over 20 points.

Klopp’s men were again forced to come from behind at home against a relegation struggler, this time Bournemouth, who had taken an early lead through Callum Wilson.

But by half-time Liverpool were in front through Salah and Mane, and they were able to hold on to all three points before football, and the rest of the world, went into lockdown.

Back to winning ways

With football back after a three-month break and with Liverpool and Everton playing out a drab 0-0 draw at Goodison Park in their first game back, the Reds needed to win here to all but ensure the title was coming back to Merseyside. And win they did.

Palace arrived at an empyy Anfield in pretty good form but simply had nothing to stop a Liverpool performance we had all become accustomed to in 19/20.

Goals from Alexander-Arnold, Salah, Fabinho and Mane ensured a 4-0 victory for the Reds and after the game, for the first time, Klopp and his players were beginning to show signs that they knew the title was theirs.

City flop in London

The night after Liverpool thrashed Palace, Man City traveled to Chelsea knowing that anything less than all three points would confirm Liverpool’s coronation.

Chelsea’s 2-1 victory at Stamford Bridge, in arguably the best game of football played behind closed doors since the restart, was enough to give Liverpool their long-awaited Premier League crown and sparked wild celebrations outside Anfield!

Newcastle United: Cristiano Ronaldo talks with MbS and PIF about possible deal pending takeover

Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly held talks with the Saudi Arabian crown prince Mohammed bin Salman (MbS) and his country’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) about the possibility of signing for Newcastle United pending the approval of the proposed takeover in the northeast, according to Don Balon.

As per the Spanish outlet, the former Manchester United ace could be the main attraction of the project to turn the Tyneside club into one of the giants of European football with their expected big financial backing. The publication also claimed that Ronaldo likes the Premier League the most and therefore does not rule out a return to the English top flight.

This could well be at St James’ Park if the prospective takeover is eventually approved by the Premier League, as Ronaldo has apparently agreed to leave Juventus and return to England with MbS, his country’s PIF and its governor Yasir Al-Rumayyan.

That is, of course, depending on whether the proposed £300m takeover deal with Mike Ashley is given the green light and indeed that Newcastle would have the funds available to sanction the transfer.

What a coup it would be if the Magpies could lure Ronaldo back to the Premier League. Indeed, the 35-year old scored a rather impressive 84 goals and provided a further 45 assists in 196 games in the English top flight, mainly operating from the wing (via Transfermarkt).

However, his story had only just begun in his Manchester United days, as he has since won so many accolades during his time at Real Madrid, Juventus and for the Portuguese international team (per Transfermarkt).

His age profile is perhaps the only stumbling block, but what a statement this would be from Newcastle if they could lure Ronaldo to St James’ Park.

Spotland Stadium

Key Information about Spotland Stadium

Spotland Stadium, currently known as the Crown Oil Arena for sponsorship reasons, is the home ground of Greater Manchester located Rochdale AFC, as well as Rugby League club Rochdale Hornets.

The 10,249 capacity stadium opened all the way back in 1878, and the Dale have been tenants since 1920. Spotland Stadium comprises four famous stands; the Co-Operative Stand (main stand), the Thwaites Beer Stand (the Sandy Lane End), the T.D.S. Stand (Pearl Street End), and the Westrose Leisure Stand (the Willbutts Lane Stand).

All stands are fully-seated with the exception of the Sandy Lane End which has a small terrace behind one of the goals.

A history of Spotland Stadium

Spotland Stadium was originally known as St Clement’s Playing Fields, after the nearby St Clement’s Church. The ground was previously used solely for cricket purposes, though in 1878 it became the first official home of St Clement’s Rugby Club in 1878; however, the club disbanded in 1897. Before AFC Rochdale as we know today, moved into the ground, two previous football clubs actually used to play their home matches at

Stadium is the home ground of club. Located in location and opened in year, the stadium has a capacity of capacity.

– Rochdale AFC (not affiliated with the current Rochdale AFC), and Rochdale Town.

Both football clubs occupied the ground for only one year each at the start of the 1900s, though they folded soon after being founded. The present Rochdale AFC was formed in order to play at the ground in 1907, and seven years later they finally purchased the freehold for £1,700.

The Dale joined the Football League in 1921, and subsequently a low wooden grandstand was built on the south side of the ground which was once the location of the cricket pavilion. Ahead of Rochdale’s entry into the Football League for the first time in history, St Clement’s Playing Fields was renamed Spotland Stadium after the surrounding area of the town.

It was not until the summer of 2016 when Rochdale AFC renamed their infamous ground “Crown Oil Arena” as part of a sponsorship deal with Bury-based fuel company Crown Oil. Over the years, the Dale have had many issues with the pitch in Spotland Stadium, and in 2018 the pitch turned into an unplayable state due to the treacherous winter weather.

As a result, a number of games had to be postponed, including an FA Cup tie against Tottenham Hotspur which manager at the time, Mauricio Pochettino deemed the pitch to not be in a suitable condition to play football on. Spotland Stadium was famously selected as a venue for the 2013 Rugby League World Cup, hosting a match between Fiji and Ireland – this was the first large scale event hosted at the ground as it was sold out with almost 9,000 people.

The record attendance at Spotland Stadium is thought to be 24,231 during an FA Cup tie against Notts County in December 1949.

Leeds eye audacious swoop for "special" 23-goal sensation

Leeds United appear to be closing in on an audacious swoop for one of Europe’s most coveted strikers after fresh reports emerged over the weekend.

What’s the word?

According to Gent chairman Ivan De Witte in an interview with De Zondag, via Voetbalkrant, the Yorkshire giants have tabled a very decent offer for their in-demand talisman, Jonathan David.

Amid interest from Ligue 1 outfit Lille, he said: “The contacts came to a halt this week, but other clubs are actually interested. With much better proposals even. Including Leeds.”

The impressive 20-year-old striker has also been mooted with moves to Arsenal, Manchester United and Borussia Monchengladbach.

Reliable Belgian football journalist Kristof Terreur claims that Gent want at least €30m (£27m) to sell him this summer.

Forget JKA

It’s no surprise to see so many clubs keen on landing the Canadian international. He’s provided Gent with 23 goals and ten assists in 40 appearances, which includes games against Roma and Wolfsburg in the Europa League, via Transfermarkt.

Recruitment data analyst for League One outfit Peterborough, BA Analytics, has lauded the potential move, claiming that he “fits the Bielsa profile” and that he’s an “exciting” player.

Meanwhile, his national team head coach, John Herdman, has dubbed him the “Iceman,” he said: “He’s like an iceman. He’s able to slow it right down in the box, wait for the keeper to sit down, and pick his moments. That’s a real special quality in a striker.”

Another thing in favour of United is the fact that David has publicly admitted his desire to play in the Premier League.

Those at Elland Road are going to have to get used to these types of reports. Leeds are back in the big-time and they can kickstart life with a bang by landing David ahead of their new rivals.
